Love and Hate- Pt 1

We know that it is right to hate sin and evil, but when is hate wrong? God rejects hate that is directed toward others, which seeks vengeance for wrongs instead of patiently leaving justice in the hands of the Lord, or chooses to withhold good from our brother when we have the ability to give. It's root in the heart is murder, and the persistent presence of it is evidence of the absence of spiritual life. We must learn to uproot sinful hatred and look to God for our example, who suppressed His own anger at injustice in order to forgive us.
