Pastor: Pastor Marc Wragg Series: 1 John Passage: 1 John 4:6

We've learned how to recognize the external dangers of error, but how do we guard our own hearts against spiritual error? John explains that God has chosen to protect the Church by raising up leaders who faithfully proclaim the truth. In every circumstance, our responsibility is to turn back and listen to the Word of God preached and taught, and not be swayed by persuasive personalities or personal experiences. God's people pursue the truth: they listen intently to it, they wrestle diligently with its meaning, and then they act by skillfully applying it to their lives.
